It is with a heart full of sorrow and sadness that I received the news of the departure of Mallam Abba Kyari who was the Chief of Staff to the President until his death. The announcement of his passing to the great beyond after battling with the corona virus disease currently ravaging the global community came to us as a shock.
While we mourn this great loss to the nation, we take solace and fortitude in the fact that his soul rests in the bosom of God Almighty, whom he served with passion and dedication. We reiterate that history will be kind on the esteemed personage of Mallam Abba Kyari who had discharge his duties to the president and to the nation with unprecedented devotion and devout passion.
He was unassuming, affable, disciplined and characteristically firm in discharging his duties to the nation. True to conspicuous observations, he was a silent achiever who greatly assisted the presidency through practised skills in the fight against corruption and driving the nation on the path to greatness. The nation will forever miss the colossal giant who was remarkable for his excellence while retreating from media hype and public adulation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family and our dear President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. May Allah give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
